Grab yourself a lead and sneak + right-click on any mob in the game to bundle it up into a Safari Net! This effectively puts the mob into an item which you can right-click at any time to release the mob. That being said, Ender Dragons, Withers, and Wardens cannot be put into a Safari Net.
<aside> 💸 Safari Nets can be sold in player shops and searched for using the /buy and /sell commands!

In Minecraft, sorting items with hoppers gets complicated and clunky really fast. You often have to build numerous lines of redstone and manually set up filter items, making the whole process a pain. On Firestarter, it's all light work.
Place an Item Frame with any item onto a side of a hopper and the hopper will only accept that given item type. If you want to be more precise about your filtering, use a Glow Item Frame to also require exact item NBT data!
<aside> 🪶 Helpful hint! You can repeat this up to 4 times, once per side, meaning you can have 4 different item filters for a single hopper!
